1. What is Miss Africa Canada – Miss AfroCaribbean?

It is a national cultural pageant celebrating African and Caribbean women across Canada.
The pageant focuses on identity, cultural pride, leadership, confidence, intelligence, and purpose — not physical perfection.

2. Who can join the pageant?

Any woman who:
✔ Is 18 years of age or older
✔ Has African or Caribbean heritage
✔ Lives in Canada
✔ Holds citizenship, PR, work permit, study permit, or refugee status

There is no upper age limit and all body types are welcome.

3. Do I need pageant experience?

No.
Many contestants are first-time participants.
We evaluate confidence, cultural pride, intelligence, and purpose — not experience.

4. How much is the registration fee?

The fee is $100 CAD.
It is non-refundable and covers:

- Inclusion in online voting

- Digital promo banners

- Access to the national competition

- Opportunity to advance to finals at AFWW 2026

If you also want to join Canadian Culture Miss, the total for both is $200 CAD.

5. Can I participate in both pageants?

Yes!
Contestants may enter:

Miss Africa Canada – Miss AfroCaribbean

and

Canadian Culture Miss

You may compete in both as long as you pay both registration fees.

6. When does registration open and close?

📅 Registration:
November 25 – December 27, 2025

7. How does the voting system work?

Voting is split into:

Judges’ Score – 60%

Online Voting – 20%

In-Person Voting – 20%

Online voting begins January 1, 2026.

In-person voting occurs during Winnipeg prelims and at the AFWW Gala Finals.

8. Is the competition online or in person?

It is a hybrid pageant:

✔ Online for all contestants across Canada

✔ In-person preliminaries ONLY for Winnipeg (Jan 16–17)

✔ Finals are in-person at the AFWW Gala on Feb 21, 2026

Contestants outside Winnipeg do not need to travel for preliminaries, but are expected to attend the finals if they qualify.

9. What if I cannot attend the finals in person?

If a finalist cannot attend due to emergency or travel limitations, she may request:

- A virtual interview

- A virtual cultural presentation

However, physical presence is highly recommended for visibility and fairness.

10. What should I wear for the competition?

You will need:

✔ Cultural attire

✔ Evening gown

✔ Interview attire

✔ Optional talent outfit

We do not enforce strict fashion rules — express your culture with pride.

11. What qualities do judges look for?

Judges evaluate:

- Confidence

- Personality

- Intelligence

- Communication

- Stage presence

This is not a beauty-only pageant.

12. Can married women, mothers, or women with tattoos apply?

Yes!
We welcome:

13. How many contestants advance to the finals?

The number varies by registration volume, but expected:

Winnipeg prelims will select finalists

Online-only cities advance through scoring + voting

Finalists compete on February 21, 2026 at AFWW.

14. Will the winner represent Canada internationally?

YES.
The winner will serve as Canada’s representative at:

Miss AfroCaribbean Official (Worldwide)

This elevates Canada to a global cultural stage.
